Washington Conservatory of Music’s COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

Your health and safety are paramount.  We must all be vigilant in working together to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure to our students, families, faculty, and staff.


The following policies and practices are in place.

FOR PRIVATE LESSONS

  • Masks are optional for students who have been vaccinated.
  • Masks are required for all who have not been vaccinated.

AS A COURTESY, please honor requests from each other –

  • If a teacher requests a student to wear a mask, we ask the student to kindly accommodate
  • If a student requests a teacher to wear a mask, we ask the teacher to kindly accommodate

FOR LARGE CLASSES: Masks are required

FOR STUDENT RECITALS: Masks are required for the audience

IF YOU FEEL SICK; DO NOT ENTER THE CONSERVATORY,

INSTEAD TAKE A COVID TEST TO ASSURE YOU CANNOT TRANSMIT COVID TO OTHER STUDENTS, STAFF OR FACULTY.

ANYONE WHO CONTRACTS COVID WHO HAS BEEN AT WCM WITHIN 2 DAYS OF THAT DISCOVERY, MUST NOTIFY WCM IMMEDIATELY.  301-320-2770

 

PLEASE CONTINUE TO SOCIAL DISTANCE.

This policy may change if there is any significant rise in cases in the nearby area.

Concert series protocol

While we are no longer checking for proof of Covid-19 vaccination, masks are still required to attend indoor public performances of the Washington Conservatory Concert Series, regardless of vaccination status.
