Former Interim Director of Choral Activities and Instructor of Voice at Virginia State University. Conducted Washington, DC area concert tour of VSU choir and the premiere performance of “Clap Your Hands, All Ye Peoples” by composer Boyd Gibson. Conducted school choirs K-8 and directed choirs in performances at Washington National Cathedral, Constitution Hall and the National Press Club. Currently, Organist and Choirmaster at Saint John’s Episcopal Church in Beltsville, MD. Formerly Choral Scholar in Parish Choir of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church, church pianist at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Director of Music and Organist at Covenant Presbyterian Church, pianist of First Christian Church in Petersburg, VA. In the DC area, former Minister of Music, Takoma Park Baptist Church, Organists and Choirmaster at Trinity Episcopal Church. Conducted major works with orchestra including Handel’s Messiah, Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ. Soloist with Washington Chamber Ensemble. Performed in VSU Concert Choir under the direction of Johnnella L. Edmonds, in opera workshop with Lisaa Edwards-Burrs and studied applied voice with the late Martin A. Strother. Upcoming invitation to conduct at Carnegie Hall in NYC.
