Washington Conservatory Community Orchestra

Open to amateur adult musicians of all levels, the WCM Community Orchestra provides participants the opportunity to learn and perform both traditional and lesser-known orchestral literature with like-minded avid adult musicians in a friendly professional atmosphere. The orchestra performs three public concerts each year.

Encore Creativity for Older Adults is the nation’s largest choral program for older adults. Explore your voice and learn challenging, fun music under a professional conductor. Join other Encore Chorales for concerts at well-known venues. Encore Chorale and Encore Rocks rehearsals take place at Glen Echo Park.
Capital Horns of the Washington Conservatory of Music at Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo, Maryland was founded by Amy Horn in June, 2017 to meet the need for a central location for horn players in the DC metropolitan area to rehearse, play, and perform. The Capital Horns, under the direction of Jeff Bianchi, meet on the second and fourth Sunday of the month from 7:00-8:30 PM and rehearse transcriptions, arrangements, and original works for horn ensemble. Capital Horns has performed at Georgetown University, Glen Echo Park, Vienna Presbyterian Church, and First Congregational UCC. They are featured performers at George Mason University’s annual Horn Day. They welcome horn players of all ages and skill levels who want to make music with this wonderful instrument in a friendly and supportive environment.
