Early Childhood Music

Musical Imagination Station (Ages 3-6 years)

An online class designed as a shared experience for children ages three to six and a parent or caregiver. Creative music, movement, and drama are blended in a seamless, unique sequence of highly engaging experiences for the entire family. Each session begins with a musical greeting and a jazzy body warm-up, which is followed by an exploration of steady beat and rhythmic patterns through instrument playing. Mr. B Box is then opened up to reveal visuals that are used to take everyone on an exciting musical imaginative journey to different places such as the moon, the ocean, farm, jungle, a picnic, etc. After returning home from our imagination travel experience, all are invited to call their special stuffed animal friends. Together we sing, dance and play with our friends. After reflecting on all of our experiences, a musical goodbye concludes the session. Elements of music such as steady beat, tempo, pitch (high/low), dynamics and timbre are reinforced throughout each session through songs, chants, instrument playing, and creative movement.
